Hostel Infrastructure

1. Introduction

Hostel life in a TKMA forms the backbone of cadet’s character development. It is designed to instill discipline, self-reliance, teamwork and leadership among cadets. Away from home, cadets learn to live in a structured environment that mirrors the ethos of the armed forces.

2. Hostel Infrastructure
  • Well furnished and spacious rooms are developed.
  • Each room has individual beds, lockers, study tables and storage areas.
  • Separate section in hostel for junior and senior cadets ensure age –appropriate supervision.
  • 24 hours water and Electricity supply, along with RO-filtered drinking water.
  • Common halls are equipped with TV and indoor games and reading corners for recreation.
  • Clean bathrooms and laundry facilities are maintained regularly.
  • Housemasters/wardens ensure safety and welfare of cadets.
3. Daily Routine

The daily schedule is strictly time –bound, developing punctuality and discipline

4. Supervision and Guidance
  • Each hostel is under the care of Military Instructor.
  • Military Education Instructors guide cadets in personal hygiene, emotional well being and parental caring.
  • Mentorship system : Senior cadets help Junior cadets in studies and daily routines, creating a sense of family and leadership.
5. Mess Dining
  • Nutritious, balanced meals are served in school mess.
  • The mess menu is planned scientifically, keeping in mind health and physical fitness.
  • Cadets follow table manners, prayer before meals and uniform seating.
  • Instructors dine with cadets to foster equality and discipline.
6. Recreation Activities
  • Evenings are dedicated to sports : football, basketball, volleyball, athletics, horse riding and obstacle courses.
  • Indoor recreation includes chess, carrom and reading
  • Cultural nights , movie shows and inter house competition keep hostel life lively.

  • Regular Medical checkups are conducted at the Medical Inspection (MI)Room

  • Inter-house events in sports, academics and cultural activities build healthy competitions and unity.
  • Each house has its motto, colour and flag.
  • Cadets take pride in maintaining the honour of their houses through teamwork.
