Curriculum

The curriculum of a TATYASAHEB KORE MILITARY ACADEMY is designed to ensure the all-round development of cadets — nurturing academic excellence, discipline, leadership and patriotism. The academic programme is aligned with the Maharashtra State Board pattern, while integrating co-curricular and physical training that prepares cadets for career in the Armed Forces and other prestigious fields.

1. Academic Programme
  • The curriculum follows the Maharashtra State Government syllabus with a special focus on Science, Mathematics, Social Science and Languages.
  • The medium of instruction is English, with Hindi and Regional Languages are taught as per academic norms.
  • STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) is promoted through labs and project-based learning.
  • Regular assignments, practicals and assessments help cadets develop strong conceptual understanding and discipline in studies.
2. Laboratories & Library
  • Well-equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer and Maths labs with safety protocols and regular practical assessments.
  • Central library with textbooks, reference books, competitive exam materials (NDA/Engineering/Medical), journals and a reading corner.
3. Assessment & Evaluation*
  • Continuous evaluation through weekly tests, unit tests, half-yearly and annual exams .
  • Periodic projects, practicals and oral/viva assessments included in final grading.
  • Regular parent-teacher meetings (PTMs) and progress reports.
  • Emphasis on improvement: remedial sessions for slow learners and enrichment for high achievers.
4. Teacher Quality & Professional Development
  • Qualified teachers with subject specialization; ongoing in-service training and workshops to update pedagogical skills and assessment methods.

  • Remedial classes, peer tutoring and study clinics before exams.

5 . Moral and Value Education
  • Regular assembly sessions, guest lectures and moral education classes instill values of integrity, respect and patriotism.
  • Cadets are guided to develop a strong sense of duty, responsibility and service to the nation.
6. Physical Training and Sports
  • Physical education is an integral part of daily routine.
  • Cadets participate in drill, PT, obstacle training, athletics and games like football, basketball, volleyball, athletics and horse riding.
  • Annual Sports Meet and inter-house competitions foster a spirit of sportsmanship and teamwork.
7. National Cadet Corps (NCC) Training
  • NCC training is given to all selected cadets with the Academy & 56 Mah. Bn NCC.
  • Cadets are trained in parade, weapon handling, map reading, first aid and leadership skills.
  • Regular participation in Republic Day Camps, Trekking and Firing Practices builds confidence and discipline.
8. Leadership and Character Development
  • The school focuses on creating responsible leaders through a House System, Prefectorial Body and leadership roles in academics and co-curricular areas.
  • Activities like debates, elocutions, dramatics, social service and adventure camps promote personality development and team spirit.
9. Co-Curricular and Extra-Curricular Activities
  • Cadets engage in music, art, craft, science exhibitions, quiz competitions and educational tours.
  • Participation in national-level competitions and cultural events enhances confidence and exposure.
10. Preparation for Defence Services
  • Special coaching and guidance are provided for Entrance Exam of NDA and SSB Interview preparation.
  • Senior cadets are encouraged to aspire for careers in the Indian Army, the Navy and the Air Force.
