Col Rajendra B. Patil was commissioned in the Indian Army on 14th June 1986. He is an Alumnus of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasala Pune and Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. A graduate from NDA as also hold Post Graduate Diploma in higher defence management from Rani Durgavati Vishwavidyalaya , Jabalpur.

The officer has rich experience in the education fields related to traning NCC cadets in the capacity of commanding officer of NCC Bns in Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. He has vast experience as officer incharge training at college of materials Management, Jabalpur where Indian Army Officers undertook various professional courses in Logistics and Materials Management as also MBA courses were undertaken for wards of Defence Personnel . The Officer also had a tenure at the prestigious National Defence Academy.

In recognition for his dedication and illustrious services in the Armed Forces, the officer has been honoured with ARTRAC Army commander commendation card.

The officer comes from a highly educated family wherein an IAS Officer, a data scientist, Indian Navy officer, Lawyer, Doctors are part of it.
